Laboratorium Biologii Lipidów Roślinnych
Our studies focus on diverse aspects of lipid metabolism in plants. Our major research goals are:
- to get to know molecular mechanisms linking lipid metabolism and plant developmental programs,
- to decipher yet unknown avenues of membrane lipid metabolism with a special emphasis on their transport in plant cells,
- to identify the key molecules involved in regulation of lipid homeostasis in mono- and dicotyledonous plants.
In our research, we use the combination of advanced molecular biology, genetic engineering and biochemistry. Our major experimental models are monocotyledonous grass Brachypodium distachyon and dicotyledonous Arabidopsis thaliana.
